Information: Composer Website: http://www.edwardrushton.net/ Edward Rushton studied piano (with Renna Kellaway) and composition at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester, before going on to read Music at King’s College, Cambridge and then composition at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. In 2001 he graduated with distinction from Irwin Gage’s masterclass in Lied interpretation at the Zurich Conservatory. He has been teaching piano accompaniment at the Musikhochschule Luzern since 2000. As an accompanist he has played many song recitals in Germany, Switzerland, France, Greece, Belgium and the UK with such singers as Juliane Banse, Katharina von Bülow, Sybille Diethelm, Katharina Hagopian, Jeannine Hirzel, Yvonne Naef, Ilektra Platiopoulou, Robin Adams, Daniel Bentz, Richard Burkhard, Christian Jott Jenny, René Perler, Lázsló Polgár, Jonathan Sells and Simon Wallfisch.
