Information: Richard Greer I was born and live in Glasgow, Scotland. I began playing music at around the age of 6 after some keyboard lessons which I took for a brief time. I graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2010 with a BMus (Hons) 1st Class in composition after studying with Dr. Gordon McPherson. I was awarded a scholarship by the RSAMD to continue my studies and I am currently undertaking a Masters there in Composition with Rory Boyle. In 2008 I won Runner-up in the Dinah Wolfe Memorial Prize for my piece ‘Guernica In Your Livingroom’, the Patron’s Prize for Composition in 2009 and Joint-First Place in the inaugural Craig Armstrong Prize for ‘On Approach to the Waking World’ in 2010. So far I have worked with the Composia Trio, Claire Thompson (Soprano), Juliette Philogene (Piano), Sean Shibe (Guitarist), MusicLab, the Viridian String Quartet, Noisy Nights, The Expedition, Red Note Ensemble the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
