Information: Ernest Leb was born in Satu-Mare, Romania. He graduated the Music Academy “George Enescu” in Romania. He studied composition and conducting with maestrosAkim Stoia and Ion Baciu. In Israel he continued his conducting studies withmaestro Shalon Ronly Riklis. During his activity years he set up four chamberorchestras – two of them in Romania and the other two in Israel. He activated asa composer in the Movie Studios in Jerusalem. His compositions were performed infestivals, were recorded for radio and CD. Ernest Leb was the music director ofthe Romanian and Hungarian theatres in Israel. He conducted several chamber andsymphonic orchestras in Israel and Europe. He participated as conductor ofIsraelian orchestras in concert tours in Europe and Central America. Between1990-1997 he was the conductor and music director of T.A New Chamber Orchestra.Many of his concerts were broadcasted in TV programs in Europe. Musicaleducation is an important element in his activity. His philosophical conceptionis that an artist has to transmit part of his personality to the generations tocome. He promoted musical educational programs.On october 2, 2003 for the first time in the world apremiere concert of symphonic masonic music was performed by the PhilarmonicOrchestra from Targu Mures, Romania conducted by Ernest Leb.
