(b Budapest, 21 June 1910; d there, 18 Nov 1966). Hungarian composer. He studied with Kodály at the Budapest Academy (1932-7). His works include cantatas (At the Outskirts of the City, 1944, 1958), songs and functional music as well as three quartets.
